Saints' Marques Colston questionable after arthroscopic knee surgery
Marques Colston
caught just two passes for 21 yards on five targets Monday night. For fantasy owners wondering what happened, we have now have a reason for his sub-par numbers: Colston was apparently bothered by a knee injury. Saints head coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Colston emerged from the game with knee soreness and underwent arthroscopic surgery Tuesday. Payton characterized the procedure as "clean up" and relatively minor. Payton said Colston is questionable to play Sunday versus Tampa Bay. He didn't practice Thursday.
Fantasy Analysis:
Colston hasn't been officially ruled out, but you should plan on him being inactive. You don't see wide receivers play five days after a knee scope. As another sign of Colston's pessimistic status, the Saints promoted wide receiver Adrian Arrington from the practice squad. Upgrade Lance Moore
, Devery Henderson and especially Robert Meachem, who recorded a season-high 10 receptions on 13 targets against the Falcons. The Bucs can stop a Charlie Whitehurst-led offense, but they have allowed at least 14 fantasy points to Santana Moss, Derrick Mason and Calvin Johnson in the past month. You should have faith in this passing game, even without its leader in catches and receiving yards.
