Chargers' Mathews expected to play, Floyd is doubtful

San Diego Chargers Ryan Mathews @rmathews24 should play this Sunday after fully participating in practice on Friday. His injury was listed as an "illness". Wide receiver Malcom Floyd is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. Floyd did not practice on Thursday. He's already missed four games this year due to injury. After a hot start to the season, Floyd missed three games and did play last week in San Diego's win over the San Francisco 49ers. Floyd has 35 receptions for 660 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Fantasy Analysis:

Floyd has done well this season, at least while he's on the field. He's been slightly more consistent and productive than the other backups who were filling in for him during his injury. Now that Vincent Jackson @VincentTJackson is back, things are definitely better for San Diego's offense. It's a shame they don't have all their players in place to make a run at the playoffs. Antonio Gates @AntonioGates85 has missed a lot of time, Mathews was out for most of the year. San Diego does have to feel confident about their offense for next season. But for now, they're making a run to the playoffs and they'll have to do it without Floyd. As for Mathews, he's an okay flex option against a pretty awful Cincinnati defense.
