Broncos list Knowshon Moreno as questionable, expect him to play

Odds are this news doesn't matter to a large majority of Knowshon Moreno @knowshonmoreno owners after he probably ruined your title chances in week 15, but the Broncos expect him to play this week despite a rib injury. Interim head coach Eric Studesville said Friday that Moreno is still sore, but he has improved over the past couple of practices and should give it a go versus the Houston Texans. Moreno started against the Raiders five days ago, but didn't make it out of the first quarter thanks to the injured ribs. He tallied five yards on four carries and caught a one-yard pass.

Fantasy Analysis:

Well, no matter how Moreno didn't come through at Oakland, he's still better than Lance Ball @LanceBall35 or Correll Buckhalter. And you've got to love how Laurence Maroney isn't even a thought. The Texans have been merely OK against the run all season long. They rank ninth in run defense but have permitted 12 rushing scores to RBs. As I said last week, Tim Tebow as the starting quarterback means Denver will go with a run-heavy approach. They ran the ball 21 times without Moreno on Sunday, and that doesn't include Tebow's eight carries. I think Moreno's ribs hold up in this game and he touches the ball around 20 times. He's a low-end RB2 for week 16.
