UPDATE: Bengals' Terrell Owens out for final couple of weeks

Terrell Owens @terrellowens has had a very nice bounce-back season, but it ended prematurely Sunday. T.O. tore the meniscus in his left knee during the early stages of the Bengals' win over the Browns. He's already ruled himself out for the rest of the season and will likely be placed on injured reserve soon. Owens had been bothered by a left knee injury for the past couple of weeks and was forced out of action after the Bengals' sixth offensive play from scrimmage. He needed a cart to get to the locker room later in the first quarter. "It's just one of those things," Owens told the Cincinnati Enquirer while walking on crutches after the game. Update: According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals officially placed Owens on injured reserve Tuesday. Who fills the open roster spot is to be determined.

Fantasy Analysis:

Owens already surpassed his 2009 totals in receptions, yards and touchdowns and is the 11th-best fantasy wide receiver in standard leagues. Now you'll have to find a replacement. If you want to look in house, it was Andre Caldwell @caldwell87, not Chad Ochocinco, who picked up the slack Sunday. He caught four passes for 89 yards against the Browns. He's purely a depth add for week 16. Ochocinco caught just two passes for 36 yards on three targets. He and the Bengals' passing attack has another favorable matchup next week versus the Lions. You would expect Ochocinco to be the focal point, but it didn't happen yesterday with Owens gone for the large majority. He's still a WR3.
