UPDATE: Seahawks' Mike Williams, Ben Obomanu will be game-time decisions
Update: Williams and Obomanu didn't practice Friday, finishing a week of no practice for each. Both players are officially listed as questionable.
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll indicated during his Friday radio show that his top two wide receivers, Mike Williams
and Ben Obomanu
, will be game-time decisions Sunday at San Francisco. Williams and Obomanu rank one-two on the team in receiving yardage, but both are not 100 percent. Williams is dealing with an ankle sprain and a strain in his left foot. Obomanu suffered a deep laceration on his hand last week. Both players have missed practice all week and if they can't play, Deon Butler and Golden Tate
will have to take on a bigger role in Seattle's unraveling pass offense.
Fantasy Analysis:
It's still relatively early out here on the West Coast, so I haven't seen anything regarding Williams' or Obomanu's participation in Friday's practice. I'll post a quick update when that surfaces. I think Obomanu has a much better chance of playing against the 49ers. Remember that the foot strain forced Williams to miss Seattle's week 12 game versus Carolina. Now he's battling an ankle sprain on the same foot as well. Obomanu's cut hand has been more problematic than I thought, but I think he'll find a way to catch with it. Williams' absence would definitely upgrade Obomanu's short-term value, but he is no more than a WR3 in 12-team leagues this week. Butler and Tate should be ignored.
