Dolphins' Brian Hartline out indefinitely after hand surgery

The Miami Dolphins have already had to play two full games without their best wide receiver, Brandon Marshall. Now they may have to go the rest of the season without their most consistent wideout, Brian Hartline @brianhartline. Hartline is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a hand injury he suffered in week 13 versus Cleveland. There is speculation that Miami will shelve him for the rest of the year, but the Dolphins will wait until Hartline's surgeon evaluates how he responds to the procedure before making a possible season-ending decision. Hartline ranks third on the team in receptions (43) and receiving yards (615).

Fantasy Analysis:

Davone Bess @davonebess will have to take on an even bigger role, especially if Marshall has to rest his aching hamstring for another week. He almost played against the Browns, so maybe he'll suit up against the Jets. But even if Marshall plays, he'll probably draw Darrelle Revis, so he should stay on your bench. Hartline wasn't going to save any fantasy teams, but he was nice source of steady points. He recorded at least 70 yards in each of the Dolphins' past four games. Granted, he has just one touchdown and no 100-yard games, he's a very safe WR3 in deeper leagues. Or at least he was.
