Redskins' Torain and Landry out, Moss misses practice

Washington Redskins safety LaRon Landry @MrLandry30 and running back Ryan Torain @RyanTorain will be out for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Backup running back Keiland Williams will get the start. Veteran running back Clinton Portis was recently placed on the injured reserve list and will not play for the remainder of the season. Skins head coach Mike Shanhan said on Thursday that Landry can't play due to an Achilles' tendon injury. Torain will be missing his third consecutive game with a bad hamstring. The Redskins signed former Philadelphia Eagles safety Macho Harris on Tuesday. Wide receiver Santana Moss @EIGHTTODANINE also missed Thursday's practice due to a knee injury.

Fantasy Analysis:

With the season drawing towards its final weeks, some of these nagging injuries are beginning to build up. Landry has had an excellent season and Torain has filled in admirably when called upon. Williams has three touchdowns in his last three games and put up a career high 89 rushing yards against the Philadelphia Eagles two weeks ago. Williams, a rookie out of LSU, will make only his second career start for Washington this week. Harris was drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by Philadelphia. He played in 15 games and started eight in 2009. Moss is currently listed as questionable.
