Colts' Austin Collie will not play Sunday night
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie
didn't last a half during Sunday's game at New England due to concussion-related symptoms. As a result, he will be held out of this week's matchup with the Chargers as a "precautionary measure," according to the team.
Collie suffered a concussion in week nine, forcing him to miss the following game versus Cincinnati. He was active against the Patriots and caught five passes for 60 yards, but left in the second quarter. The team said Tuesday that Collie did not suffer another concussion, just that he "encountered symptoms from his previous injury."
Fantasy Analysis:
Collie's season sure has taken a dive since a very strong opening few weeks. Of course, that's fully thanks to injuries. The Chargers have a pretty good pass defense -- they have allowed just four touchdowns to wide receivers -- but you should still expect Peyton Manning to find his receivers with regularity. Thus, Blair White becomes a player of interest if you need help at wideout. He'll probably be the Colts' No. 3 WR and is coming off a two-touchdown game. If you are looking for a replacement for Hakeem Nicks or Brandon Marshall (or Austin Collie for that matter), you could do worse than White in deeper leagues.
