Texans' Matt Schaub spent Tuesday night in hospital
Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was hospitalized Tuesday night because of an inflamed bursa sac in his knee. Head coach Gary Kubiak didn't clarify which knee, but also said that he's not too worried about Schaub's status for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. "(Schaub) is doing well and I expect him to be out [Wednesday] and he should be here tomorrow," Kubiak said. "Everything should be okay. ... We put him in the hospital to treat it basically and get some rest to get off of it. Thought he would be here this morning, made a decision this morning to let him stay there all day." Kubiak also said Schaub didn't undergo any surgery.
Fantasy Analysis:
We'll see if Schaub practices Thursday, but it sounds like he'll play Sunday, regardless. However, your expectations should be too high. On the year, the Jets have been fairly forgiving to opposing QBs, but they have allowed just three passing touchdowns in their past three games. Likewise, Schaub has thrown three touchdowns in his past three games. As much as I would still like to believe in Schaub, fact is this is a tough matchup and he hasn't produced like a top-10 quarterback this year. For this week, he is not a great start in one-quarterback leagues.
