Jets' Jerricho Cotchery has slight tear in his left groin

Steve Smith isn't the only wide receiver in the New York area who will be sitting out for a bit due to an injury. Jets wideout Jerricho Cotchery @cotcheryfoundat is expected to miss the next two games after slightly tearing his left groin during Sunday's overtime win versus Cleveland. An MRI revealed the damage Monday. Head coach Rex Ryan refused to rule Cotchery out for this week's game versus Houston, but beat reporter Rich Cimini put down the two-week prognosis. "Jerricho is much better than I thought and I'm sure he thought, and all of us thought, so we'll see how it plays out," Ryan said. "I'm not going to say he's definitely out. That's certainly a possibility, but he's better than we thought." Cotchery injured his groin during the extra period, on the same play where he made a highlight-reel diving catch.

Fantasy Analysis:

Cotchery has turned in some nice games of late, but he's been pushed out of the starting lineup by Santonio Holmes @ToneTime10, who is the greatest beneficiary of this news. He has recorded consecutive double-digit fantasy performances and you should expect even more targets for Holmes going forward. That could mean an even bigger game upcoming this Sunday against the Texans, a defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. He's a WR2 for week 11.
