Redskins' Ryan Torain, Clinton Portis practice Monday

The Washington Redskins may have Ryan Torain @RyanTorain and Clinton Portis @TheRealC_Portis available for Monday night's game versus Philadelphia. Both participated during Monday's practice, but as usual, head coach Mike Shanahan was tight-lipped about the status of his running backs. "It's really hard to tell right now," Shanahan said. "I think I'll get a better feel over the next few days." Portis has missed the past four games because of a torn groin muscle. He practiced last week for the first time since coming down with the injury Oct. 3. Torain, who gave no indication when asked if he'll play is attempting to come back from a hamstring strain that he suffered during the final game before Washington's week-nine bye. He practiced at full speed and acknowledged that the week off helped him heal.

Fantasy Analysis:

If neither guy is able to make it back to the field, Keiland Williams @kwill35 will see more work and James Davis would be activated off the practice squad. Torain is more likely to play, but this is pretty positive news for both backs. They would face a tough matchup against the Eagles. Philly's run defense has surrendered just two scores to a running back in their last three games. Six of the Eagles' eight opponents haven't topped 80 rushing yards against them this season.
