Raiders' Zach Miller, Nnamdi Asomugha doubtul
It looks like the Oakland Raiders will have to go into Sunday's crucial matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs without their most productive receiver and their shutdown cornerback. Head coach Tom Cable said Friday that tight end Zach Miller
and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha are both listed as doubtful to play after they didn't take part in any practices this week.
Miller is being hampered by a foot arch injury, which he played through last week. However, he ended that game with just one catch and left the stadium on crutches. Cable said earlier this week that he expected Miller to play, but it doesn't sound like he'll be ready to go.
Asomugha suffered a high ankle sprain against the Seahawks last week. The prospects for him to play were much dimmer than Miller's.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Raiders have a bye next week, so we'll see if these two can return for week 11. Without Miller, I have no faith in the Raiders' passing game. Louis Murphy is also out, so Darrius Heyward-Bey
is the top receiver in this offense. He's worth a flyer with six teams on bye. Jason Campbell is a low-end No. 2 QB this week. The Chiefs don't allow many fantasy points to wide receivers.
Dwayne Bowe should be pleased to have no Nnamdi tracking him this week. Bump up his and Matt Cassel's stock a bit.
In the end, this game will be all about the running backs.
