Conflicting reports on how long it will take Titans' Kenny Britt to recover

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt @KennyBritt_18 will not play in week 10 because of the hamstring injury he suffered this past Sunday. What happens from there seems to be up for debate between local sources and the player himself. Darren McFarland of titansinsider.com wrote Wednesday night that Britt will be out of action for six-to-eight weeks, according to a league source. But Britt wasn't willing to doubt himself past next week. "It's amazing how one day of treatment can help you out," Britt said "We've got great trainers, but right now we're working to get me back out there. I'm out for Miami, but we'll see after that." The Titans, currently on a bye, face the Dolphins on Nov. 14 and then host the Washington Redskins on Nov. 21. Britt's words make you think that he's aiming to play in that game.

Fantasy Analysis:

And yet, he probably won't. Of course Britt is going to say how great he feels, how fantastic his rehab is coming along and how he's trying to get onto the field as soon as possible. That's what a good player should say; he should always want to play. But with Randy Moss in town, expect the Titans to be very cautious with Britt. His recovery timetable should be closer to schedule given by titansinsider.com. That would mean Britt doesn't come back until week 15 at the earliest. If you can afford to hang on to Britt for that long, I've got no problems with doing so. But his fantasy value for the rest of 2010 is minimal.
