Chargers' Malcom Floyd likely out this week
The San Diego Chargers were obviously hurt by their lack of offensive playmakers Sunday. The receptions leader against the Patriots was running back Darren Sproles. Philip Rivers probably doesn't want to depend too heavily on the likes of Patrick Crayton
, Buster Davis or Seyi Ajirotutu going forward, but he'll have to make do for at least one more game. Head coach Norv Turner said he doesn't expect wide receiver Malcom Floyd to be avialable for this week's match versus Tennessee. Floyd, who has 513 receiving yards and three TDs this year, injured his hamstring in week six and was inactive yesterday.
In other Chargers injury news, Turner said he also doesn't expect kicker Nate Kaeding to play but that wide receiver Legedu Naanee
should be able to return. He has missed the past three games due to a hamstring strain.
Fantasy Analysis:
With Floyd being basically ruled out and the Chargers' week-10 bye approaching, you should probably make plans to be without him for the next two weeks at least. Crayton led the Chargers in receiving yards and was targeted 13 times against New England. He is a decent short-team pickup but for as long as Floyd is gone, Antonio Gates should be the only guy you trust in this crew.
