Eagles' Michael Vick will start in Week 9

The Philadelphia Eagles are on a bye in Week 8 and when they come back in Week 9, head coach Andy Reid has already made clear that quarterback Michael Vick @MikeVick will re-enter the starting line-up. Kevin Kolb is being sent back to the bench after losing in a rout to the Tennessee Titans, 37-19. Kolb went 26 for 48 with 231 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs and 1 fumble lost. His QB rating was 56.9. Vick suffered a rib injury three weeks ago while extending for the endzone against the Washington Redskins. He was hit on both sides of his body and never returned to the game. If Kolb had performed better, he may have kept his job. Nonetheless, the starting gig has been given back to Vick.

Fantasy Analysis:

Before the injury, Vick was one of the top fantasy quarterbacks in the game. Now that he is healthy, he does give the Eagles the best opportunity to win games by extending plays and making things happen down the field. Philly will also need wide receiver DeSean Jackson back on the field but no announcement has been made regarding his return. The Eagles offensive line has been shaky this season and Vick's elusiveness, especially on third down, is the reason why giving him the starting job makes the most sense. In the four games he played, Vick put up nearly 800 passing yards, 187 rushing yards, seven total touchdowns and no turnovers. He should be put back into your fantasy starting line-up as well in Week 9.
