Broncos' Knowshon Moreno practices for second straight day
It was three weeks ago today that Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno
suddenly strained a hamstring during practice and instantly went from a high-upside start against the Colts to O-U-T. For the first time since, Moreno has practiced on back-to-back days. He is officially listed as questionable to play in Sunday's game versus the New York Jets, but everything sounds like Moreno will be active after participating Thursday and Friday. He has run for 111 yards on 39 carries in two games this season and has a rushing score in each.
Fantasy Analysis:
Sunday's game won't exactly be a "welcome back" party for Moreno. The Jets allow the fewest fantasy points to running backs. Sure, Adrian Peterson looked good against them Monday night, but consider the quality of running back. If you take out his effort, the Jets are allowing less than three yards per carry to RBs with just one rushing TD allowed all year. Moreno probably isn't completely healed and with the difficulties the Jets have had in their secondary, you should expect Denver to throw another 50 times this week. I speculate that Moreno will be sparingly. Get ready to insert him back into your lineup for week seven's matchup against the Oakland Raiders.
