Browns' Peyton Hillis expects to be 100 percent for Steelers game
The only hope the Cleveland Browns might very well have on offense this weekend rests in the strong legs running back Peyton Hillis
. And Hillis expects those legs to be at full strength come Sunday. Hillis returned to practice in limited fashion Friday after sitting out Wednesday's and Thursday's session due to a strained quad. Hillis played through the injury in week five and will do so again in week six. But he said Friday that he feels great.
"During pregame, you have to turn it loose, Hillis said. "But I'll be very surprised if I'm not 100 percent. I feel great right now. ... I'm not the type to lie. That's what it is."
He is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh.
Fantasy Analysis:
With QB Colt McCoy slated to start, Hillis may see 25-30 touches against the Steelers. That would be nothing new for him; Hillis has touched the ball 29 times in two of his past three games. Now, that's good for the Browns in the short term. Hillis will end up saving McCoy's bacon on a bunch of plays and provide some much-needed ball control for Cleveland. But, no matter how positive Hillis is about his quad, don't you think the Steelers' tough D will target it? And it pains me to think about the punishment he's going to take from those 11 guys. Considering the likely large opportunity and the fact Hillis has scored in every game this season, I think you have to start him as a flex at least. But I am concerned that he comes out of this six worse than how he came out of week five.
