Packers' Aaron Rodgers cleared to practice, 'very optimistic' about playing

The Green Bay Packers haven't confirmed anything, but the actions of quarterback Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 are speaking at a volume just as loud as anything the team could say. Rodgers practiced Thursday and took most the first-team snaps, showing that he has passed all of his cognitive tests and has been cleared to practice by an independent neurologist. "I've gone through the process that the NFL requires," Rodgers said after Thursday's practice. "I've been cleared by our doctors by an outside source. And I think it's just a matter of how I feel tomorrow," Rodgers said. "I'm very optimistic." Rodgers suffered a concussion late in Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Analysis:

Rodgers' concussion was apparently not as serious as the ones suffered by Kevin Kolb or Jay Cutler earlier this season. Head coach Mike McCarthy hasn't said Rodgers will start, but barring an unexpected turn for the worse, what's stopping him now? Rodgers obviously belongs in your lineup and his presence is certainly great news for Donald Driver @Donald_Driver80 and Greg Jennings @GregJennings. Also, the Dolphins' defense has been a popular pickup this week since Matt Flynn would have been the Packers' starting QB if Rodgers wasn't all there. But with Aaron back in the fold, look elsewhere for your plug-and-play defense this week.
