2015 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person
Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas
Diggs was part of a Texas defense that ranked 11th nationally in passing yards allowed per game. Adjusting for strength of schedule, you could make a decent argument that they were actually one of the five best pass defenses in the country. That alone says plenty about Diggs who had an excellent senior season. And if Diggs' was a few inches taller, he'd be a prized commodity coming from such an excellent unit. But at 5'10 Diggs will be limited to a nickel role in the NFL. That's not necessarily a bad thing given the need for good nickel corners in today's NFL. But there are also concerns about Diggs' speed, which could be exposed if he's inside in coverage as well. He displayed plenty of ability in college, and some team will definitely draft him and hope it translates. But lack of size and speed may outweigh intelligence and instincts in this case.
