2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky
A well-rounded prospect that can fit in any system in the NFL. Above-average footwork for a man of his size and stature. Thick-bodied and gets off the line cleanly and quickly. Moves well in both directions. Very good awareness and can spot blitzers with no issues. Still needs some polish when zone-blocking in open spaces. Can play over-aggressive at times and lunge after defenders.
Warford can mirror well when in pass protection. Slides with ease and displays good technique. Could play on either the left or right side. Shows a good mean streak and always seems to be looking for contact. Stamina late in games is a slight concern.
Still working to maintain a healthier playing weight. Would play better about 15 pounds lighter without sacrificing too much power. A strong Senior Bowl could push him into late first round consideration.
Warford projects as a second round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
If Dallas does not or cannot go with Warmack or Cooper, then this would be a good guy to get in the 2nd round. Hopefully in the 1st round they got a good Safety, DT or DE. Any other position besides OL, DL or Safety is not a good first round pick. Unless of course for some reason J. Jones or B. Mingo are still around, then it would be worth considering. I highly doubt if either will be around at #18 though.
