2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person
LaRon Landry, FS, LSU
LaRon Landry is exceptionally athletic and shows great instincts finding and pursuing the ball. He has excellent coverage skills and very good hands, as demonstrated with his 12 career interceptions at LSU. Landry is an aggressive player and doesn't shy from attacking the line of scrimmage on running plays. He is a playmaker and really brings the lumber with his hard-hitting style against his opponents. Landry has a great combination of size, speed and natural instincts to excel at the next level. Landry may need to add some bulk to contend with the more physical receivers in the NFL. He was an impact player at LSU from his debut as a freshman through his senior campaign, earning numerous honors along the way. Landry led the LSU defense in total tackles for three of his four years. He opted to return to LSU for his senior season, despite being projected as a late first round pick in the NFL Draft following his junior season. LaRon Landry is nearly a lock to hear his named called in the first round, most likely a top 15 selection.
