2026 Green Bay Packers Team Preview

The Green Bay Packers have been one of the NFL's most consistent
franchises over the past three -plus decades, making 24 playoff
appearances and winning two Super Bowls across 33 seasons. Both
championships came with the same formula: a top -five defense in
points and yards allowed, anchored by elite quarterback play.
Matt LaFleur has kept that winning culture intact since taking over, going
76-40-1 over seven seasons with six playoff appearances and three
NFC North titles. The postseason has been a different story, however
— Green Bay is just 3-9 in the playoffs under his watch. LaFleur broke
into NFL coaching with Houston in 2008 and has offensive coordinator
experience with the 2017 Rams and 2018 Titans. The 2025 season
marked a step back for the Packers on both sides of the ball. Their
offense scored 69 fewer points than the year prior, the defense
surrendered 22 more, and the team's point differential shrank from +122
to +31.
Adam Stenavich returns for his fourth season coordinating their offense.
He has been part of Green Bay's coaching staff for seven years and
has worked in the NFL since 2017. Last season, the Packers ranked
15th in both offensive yards (5,892) and points scored (391).
Jonathan Gannon takes over the defense in 2026, arriving after the
Arizona Cardinals parted ways with him following a 15-36 record across
three seasons as their head coach. Before that, he served as the

Eagles' defensive coordinator from 2021 to 2022 and got his NFL
coaching start in 2007 as a defensive quality control coach with Atlanta.
He inherits a unit that ranked 12th in yards allowed (5,504) and 11th in
points allowed (360).
