Golf Rankings for RBC Canadian Open
This week will be a nice break in between majors. The RBC Canadian ended in dramatic fashion last season with Day, Bubba and Canada-native, David Hearn all in the mix on Sunday. Expect to see some low scores as eagles will be plenty with four gettable par 5 holes.
13 of the top 50 golfers according to the OWGR are expected to tee it up in Canada this week. Dustin Johnson and last year's champ, Jason Day headline the field.
Glen Abbey Golf Club is a par 72 course that measures just under 7,250 yards. Aside from last season, the RBC Canadian Open has been hosted at Glen Abbey most recently in 2013, 2009, and 2008 so keep that in mind when weighing course history this week.
This week, Par 5 scoring is going to be critical. With four par 5 holes that some golfers will be reaching in two, you have to make birdie on these holes. Additionally, Birdies or Better has been a key indicator of success in previous years along with proximity from 125-150 yards.
Birdie or Better Conversion % - This is always a good stat to look at when it comes to DraftKings scoring. Golfers are going to need to make birdies in order to contend this week especially at a course like this.
Par 5 Scoring - As mentioned previously, there are four par 5 holes and every one presents a good eagle opportunity for the longer hitters. If you aren't scoring on the par 5 holes this week you may be left behind.
Proximity 125-150 yards - With many par 4 holes in the 400-450 yards, this range should be a key indicator of success.
