Week 8: Sit 'Em
WR Reggie Wayne, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
I could not agree more, Wayne is a huge downgrade in my book. The absence of Peyton Manning has been a killer for the Indy offense. Curtis Painter just does not cut it. Wayne now shares the team lead in receptions with Garcon. Both receivers have caught 30 passes, way down from what we as fantasy owners expect from Wayne at this stage of the season. Wayne has also only caught one touchdown this season. If you have Wayne, he has to always be considered a threat, but his fantasy value is in the ditch this season. This week, Wayne faces a decent Tennessee defense and will likely be covered by Cortland Finnegan. This should keep Wayne at bay and limit his production.
Pittsburgh
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Pittsburgh is ranked first in the league against the pass this year, giving up about 170 passing yards on average per game with 8 passing touchdowns, but this week they face Tom Brady. This week the Pittsburgh vs. New England match-up should be one to watch. Both passing games are firing at full speed and this should be a show. I think Brady and his offense will light up the Pittsburgh defense this week, despite a somewhat surge in production. I also think Pittsburgh will exploit the New England defense that has struggled this season. If you have another option this week, keep Pittsburgh on your bench. Brady and Welker have proved to be unstoppable this season and this week will be no different.
