Week 9: Super Sleepers
WR Jacoby Jones, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
If you're not a fan of picking up Casey or Dressen then maybe Jacoby Jones is the right option for you. With the loss of Owen Daniels for the season, the Texans are going to need to shake things up a bit. That means one of two things is going to happen: either Casey will become a go to receiver, or the offense will shift into more three and four receiver sets. If the last one becomes the truth then Jacoby Jones could be a good pick up. With some additional playing time he could post numbers worthy of a flex start in the right match-up.
TE James Casey, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
The Texans lost a big part of the offense last week when Owen Daniels was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with a knee injury. We later found out the injury would be a season ender for Daniels and now Daniels' owners will be scrambling to find a replacement. For the game against Indy next week Houston will be starting 4 year veteran Joel Dressen. Joel has 25 receptions for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 51 games he has played. This may be a one and done for Dressen as he typically sees more time in two TE sets and is not thought of as a receiving threat. Replacing Daniels was supposed to fall onto the lap of the rookie James Casey. However, he had arthroscopic knee surgery Monday and will miss at least the Indy game. Upon Casey's return, he is expected to replace Daniels in the starting line up. Initially I would not expect to see numbers similar to Owen's. However, if he can prove to Schaub that he is a reliable receiver, then I see no reason not to start him.
