Week 5: Waiver Wire & Free Agent Pickups
Top Adds
This week's Top Adds your league mates will likely be going after them also so be aggressive when targeting your player needs.
Robert Woods – With Sammy Watkins out of the lineup look for Robert Woods to take over as the top option in the Bills passing game. The past two games without Watkins Woods racked up 18 targets from Tyrod Taylor
Wendell Smallwood – With the Eagles on a bye in Week 4 Smallwood could still be on your waiver wire. Ryan Mathews could very well be active this week but still, make an attempt to grab Smallwood. His carries will increase, and Ryan Mathews is no picture of durability.
Brice Butler – Butler will get looks from Dak Prescott while Dez Bryant is banged up. Brice is a talented up-and-coming playmaker, who can stretch the field when Dez returns to form Brice will return to the bench, but he will provide some roster depth with the bye weeks upon us.
Jordan Howard – Jordan Howard should be owned in your league, he was last week's waiver flavor. So if he is available, jump now. Howard touched the ball 26 times in Week 4.
Cameron Brate – The Bucs' offense will continue to be a wild ride throughout the course of the season. Brate's target volume (24) through four games in a Fantasy-friendly offense equals a fantasy tight end that is a weekly start in a 12-team league.
Terrance West – Mr. West is ready to graduate into a full-time lead dog in the Ravens offense. Coming off a 21-carry performance in Week 4, all signs are looking up for Mr. West. However, temper your expectations as the Ravens schedule will begin to get tougher and rookie Kenneth Dixon could emerge.
Hunter Henry – Henry should no longer be on the list, and he should be owned in all formats. The young tight end can be a Fantasy starter every week Old Man Antonio Gates is out.
Chris Hogan – Hogan who is off to a slow start, may have been dropped in your league. With Tom Brady set to return, pick Hogan up.
Josh Ferguson – Deeper PPR add right here. Frank Gore will continue to work as the primary back in Indy, but the rookie Ferguson has 17 receptions on the young season.
Bilal Powell – Powell who helped teams win championships down the stretch in 2015 is most likely owned in your league. If not he gets priority over all listed. With Eric Decker out of Jets' pass-happy offense, Powell is a PPR asset even with Matt Forte carrying the mail.
Charles Clay – Clay will see an increase in targets with Sammy Watkins on injured reserve. I like Cameron Brate and Hunter Henry better as tight end adds but Charles "His Momma Call Him Clay, Imma Call Him" Clay adds depth for the bye weeks.
Dolla Make Ya Holla Adds
Guys you can get for close to nothing in Waiver or FAAB runs but temper your expectations.
Eddie Royal – Monitor the health status of second-year wideout Kevin White. If White is out, add Royal in deeper leagues.
Kenneth Dixon – Terrance West appears to be locked in as the guy in Baltimore, but Dixon is finally healthy and will get his chances.
Zach Zenner – If Dwayne Washington is out, Zenner will get more looks for the Lions. Only drop a dollar and temper your expectations.
C.J. Spiller – If you played Fantasy Football long enough, C.J. Spiller has let you down at some point. Maybe we will have better luck in Seattle.
Dontrelle Inman – Philip Rivers has many targets at his disposal, and he spreads the ball out among all of them. Inman is in the mix, but consistency will be an issue.
Ten Team League Adds
These Guys should be owned in 12-team leagues, but owners in 10-team leagues could find these gems on the waiver wire.
Zach Ertz – Ertz said he is medically cleared and ready to return in Week 5. If he was dropped, scoop him up on unexpecting owners.
Steve Smith Sr. - Smith Sr. is looking healthier every week and is beginning to fit into his role as Joe Flacco's lead pass-catcher.
Quincy Enunwa - Enunwa is a waiver wire gem who will see even more looks with Eric Decker injured and likely due for a lengthy stint on the bench with a bum shoulder.
