Week 12: Waiver Wire Pickups
WR Chris Hogan, ---

In the last two weeks, Hogan has seen 16 targets. That's a big increase in volume from his usage over the first half of the season. Following some initial success prior to Buffalo's Week 9 bye, quarterback Kyle Orton has really struggled to move the offense lately, and news that he sustained a toe injury during Thursday's loss to the Dolphins throws things into question for Hogan and the rest of the Bills' receiving corps. E.J. Manuel is a huge downgrade from Orton, so if the veteran is able to play through the injury, Hogan will still be an interesting WR4 in deeper PPR leagues.
TE Garrett Graham, ---

Graham has not been a major part of the Texans' passing attack this year. In fact, prior to yesterday's game, he had recorded just two catches in his past month of football. The Texans are a run-first team and tend to rely primarily on their excellent wide receivers when throwing the ball. However, as noted above, developing QB Ryan Mallett recently took the reins of this offense, and it's not unusual to see inexperienced quarterbacks use their tight ends as a safety valve. Graham's measly totals from Sunday - two targets, two catches, 34 yards - don't strongly support that line of thinking, but one of those targets did result in a 20-yard touchdown. Graham is an option for only the most desperate fantasy owners.
TE Jacob Tamme, ---

Julius Thomas left Sunday's game early due to an ankle sprain and did not return to the field. Tamme filled in to the tune of four receptions and 31 yards on 10 targets. Those numbers aren't great, but if Thomas is forced to miss even one week, Tamme will be the position's top waiver add. The Broncos' offense, despite it's very pedestrian outing in St. Louis, produces fantasy studs. Tamme has been involved in the team's red-zone offense throughout the year, and Peyton Manning knows him well from their years spent together with the Colts. Tamme's value hinges Thomas' status, so keep an eye on that if you decide to claim the seven-year vet this week.
