Week 16: IDP Sleepers
DT Kelly Gregg, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
There's a fantasy league out there for everyone and, with that in mind, might I recommend Kelly Gregg as a serviceable pick-up for leagues that field a DT slot? Gregg has been playing through some pain lately, but you wouldn't know it from his numbers. He's a true run-stopper who piles up tackles like a middle linebacker and could be the missing piece of your IDP league championship puzzle.
DE Adewale Ogunleye, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
At this late point in the season, few players have escaped the watchful eye of fantasy owners. Sometimes, It's less about finding the "diamond in the rough" and more about trusting proven talent. Here's where Ogunleye deserves mention…and a second look by the considerable number of owners who seem to have forgotten about him. Yes, he only recorded a single tackle last week – he's a defensive lineman, he will get shut out some of the time. But he is also someone who has recorded 9 sacks this season and three multi-sack performances. In the fantasy playoffs, this is the kind of guy you want to put your faith in.
LB H.B. Blades, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Rocky McIntosh – an emerging IDP star – is out with torn ligaments in his knee, so his spot will now be filled by H.B. Blades. Blades is the nephew of former Seahawk Brian Blades and the son of Lions safety and College Football Hall-of-Famer Bennie Blades, so his pedigree, at least, shouldn't be in question. He's just a rookie, but will have the chance to shine now that he's being thrust into a starting role.
LB Morlon Greenwood, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
25 tackles and a sack in the last two weeks, averaging ten tackles per game since the Texans' bye week. Greenwood has improved his play every season he's been in the league. He can be depended on to add the steadying influence for a fantasy team making its way to the championship game.
LB Aaron Schobel, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Schobel has under-performed – or, at least, so the stats would tell us. After putting together campaigns of 12 and 14 sacks respectively in '05 and '06, his numbers seem down in '07 (only 5.5 sacks thus far). Watch out, though, Schobel is starting to heat up and has recorded a sack in each of his last three games. He's still absolutely one of the elites at his position and can add instant value to your IDP roster
