Week 13: IDP Sleepers
DE Chris Clemons, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
After a silent start to the season, the wildly undersized (listed at just 240lbs) LB/DE Clemons has come bursting into the limelight with 5 sacks in his last 6 games. While other underrated Raiders products - Thomas Howard and Kirk Morrison - have started to get the respect they are due, Clemons remains in the shadows. This is a good time to take a chance on the youngster.
DE Tim Crowder, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Though not listed as a starter, Tim Crowder has made a significant impact as a spot-rusher for the Broncos this year. The Rookie has 4 sacks in his last 3 games and faces some poor pass-blocking in the coming weeks with games against first Oakland, then Kansas City.
DE Cullen Jenkins, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
With Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila recovering from ankle and knee sprains incurred during last week's game against the Lions, Jenkins stands to see more snaps against the pass this week. Generally, KGB comes in for passing downs, thereby limiting Jenkins' sack potential. He's only brought down the QB once all year, but is still a strong pass-rusher as evidenced by his dominant pre-season performance. With Kampman garnering attention on the other side, Jenkins will be the benefactor of some blocking mismatches.
DE Juqua Parker, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Thomas seems to have cemented the starting job over Jevon Kearse, who really couldn't stay healthy anyway. Kearse gave the Eagles a strictly speed-rush option, while Thomas is a slightly more well-rounded player. The undrafted Oklahoma State product recorded 8 tackles and a sack in what was his best game of the season last week and is a strong play again this Sunday against a Seahawks team that is really struggling with its pass protection.
LB Antwan Barnes, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
The rookie fourth round pick is likely to fill in for Jarret Johnson, who suffered a concussion and was also diagnosed with a fractured thumb following Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers. Johnson had been surprisingly effective as a starter and Barnes now stands to inherit an IDP-worthy position in a defense that's still one of the best and most intimidating in the league.
