Week 11: Pickups of the Week
Waiver Wire Watch: Looking Ahead to Week 11
As we head into week eleven of the NFL season, all of the bye weeks are officially over. Here are some possible pickups that might still be available in your league...
QB John Beck, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Dynasty and Keeper League owners take notice: Its only a matter of time before the Dolphins give Beck a shot at QB to see what the rookie can do.
QB Kellen Clemens, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
We named Clemens previously after he was named the Jets' starting QB, replacing an ineffective Chad Pennington. The Jets were on a bye this past weekend, but in his last game Clemens was 23 of 42 for 226 yards with 1 TD. Clemens has more value in dynasty and large keeper leagues, but if your league starts 2 QBs, then he warrants fantasy owners in those type of leagues considering picking him up for a roster spot.
QB J.P. Losman, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Losman got his second start in a row with rookie Trent Edwards out with an injury. Losman has lead the Bills to back to back wins over Cincinnati and Miami the past two weeks and early reports are that Losman's performance could have earned him another start next weekend. If you are desperate for a QB, or in a league that starts 2 QBs, then he is worth picking up if he remains the Buffalo starter.
QB JaMarcus Russell, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Dynasty and Keeper League owners take notice: Its only a matter of time before Russell is the Raiders QB.
QB Kurt Warner, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Warner has recently had some injury issues with his elbow, then Arizona was on a bye in week 8 and he struggled in week 9 with only 172 passing yards, 0 TDs, plus 2 interceptions, so he is probably a free agent in most leagues. Warner looked good in Sunday's win over Detroit, going 26 of 36 for 259 yards, 3 TDs, with only 1 interception. The Cardinals have a very favorable schedule in the second half of the year and actually only face one team with a winning record (plus most of the teams' pass defenses they will face are near the bottom of the rankings). Fantasy owners should pick him up for a quality backup because of the schedule and he could warrant a start in some of his matchups if your main QB has a bad matchup.
RB Ron Dayne, ---
MyFantasyLeague availability: 100%FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Houston was on a bye this past weekend, but in his last game Dayne rushed for 122 yards and a TD on 21 carries. It is obvious that Ahman Green is banged up and will probably be limited in most games. Dayne is still a free agent in most leagues, so if you are looking for some RB help then consider picking up Dayne for a roster spot.
