Week 12: Super Sleepers
WR Brandon LaFell, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
In Week 11 vs. New England, Brandon LaFell grabbed seven passes for 59 yards and a score -- his fourth of the season and first since Week 6. LaFell caught seven of his eight targets and led the team. This is encouraging as he enters Week 12 against a Miami defense that has given up the third fewest fantasy points to wide outs this season. The match-up is difficult on paper, but if LaFell is seeing the most targets, he is still likely to be productive. This week he is a WR4 in most leagues, but might be moved up to WR3 status in deep leagues.
TE Mychal Rivera, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Mychal Rivera has only shown his fantasy prowess twice this season -- Week 4 was productive with 44 receiving yards and a score and last week he grabbed a season-high five passes for 54 yards and a score. In Week 12 he faces a Tennessee pass defense that has given up the eighth most fantasy points to TEs. With Matt McGloin replacing Terrelle Pryor, the Oakland passing attack has seen some new looks and Rivera has capitalized on his opportunities. I expect this synergy to continue this week and Rivera should continue to see more targets. He is the third option in most passing schemes, but if McGloin needs a saftey valve then Rivera is likely his man.
