Week 7: Sleepers of the Week
Here are 10 players who can be plugged into fantasy lineups if owners have bye week or injury issues.
QB Kyle Boller, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Kyle Boller and the Baltimore Ravens travel to Buffalo to face the Bills in week seven. Boller will get his second consecutive start with Steve McNair still recovering from a nagging injury. While Boller did not shine against the Rams, he should be better this week at Buffalo. Kyle Boller makes a good bye week fill in against a banged up Bills defense. If you have a quarterback who is on a bye, injured, or playing against a good defense, Boller can be plugged into fantasy lineups as a good replacement. Fantasy owners can expect 200 passing yards and at least one touchdown this week at Buffalo.
QB Jason Campbell, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Jason Campbell and the Washington Redskins return home to face the Arizona Cardinals in week seven. Campbell played a very good game in week six against the Packers, throwing for 217 yards, one passing touchdown, one interception, and he also added a rushing touchdown. While these numbers were good, they could have been much better as the Redskins, specifically Santana Moss, dropped numerous passes that could have made Campbell's good game a great one. Campbell has a favorable match-up this week against the Cardinals who are coming off a loss to Vinny Testaverde and the Carolina Panthers. Look for Campbell to top the 200 total yard mark and score at least one touchdown in week seven.
QB Jeff Garcia, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Jeff Garcia and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Detroit to face the Lions in week seven. Garcia has been very effective so far this season, throwing for nearly 200 yards per game and adding six touchdowns with zero interceptions. Garcia will have another good game this week against a struggling Lions defense. Another reason why Garcia will have a big game is the lack of a running game in Tampa Bay. Earnest Graham has been shaky and newly acquired Michael Bennett is just learning a new offense. Garcia may have to put the ball in the air more than usual as this game could turn into a shootout. Garcia owners can expect more than 200 yards and at least one touchdown this week.
RB Kevin Jones, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Coming off a bye week, Kevin Jones and the Detroit Lions return home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After getting off to a slow start because of an injury sustained last season, Kevin Jones has regained his starting job as the Lions' feature running back. Tatum Bell is not likely to take many carries away from Jones and Jones has shown he can be an effective goal line back. This week's match-up against the Buccaneers is not the greatest, but if Jones gets enough carries, he can definitely help fantasy teams this week. Jones also gives point per reception league owners a boost with this receiving ability. Look for Jones to top 80 total yards and one touchdown this week against Tampa Bay.
RB Brian Leonard, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Brian Leonard and the 0-6 St. Louis Rams travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in week seven. Leonard is coming off a terrible game against a very good Baltimore Ravens defense, but has a better match-up this week against the Seahawks. Leonard gets a boost with the return of starting quarterback Marc Bulger this week. Opposing defenses will not be able to key in on stopping the run game with Bulger coming back. The Rams also know that if they want to win their first game of the season, they are going to have to control the game by running the ball. Look for Leonard to top 75 total yards and one touchdown this week against the Seahawks.
