Week 9: Sit 'Em
WR Malcom Floyd, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Floyd has not scored a TD in six weeks. This has been a huge issue for fantasy owners. His best performance lately was in Week 5 when he grabbed 5 passes for 108 yards. However, his average of about 65 yards per game is not cutting it fantasy-wise. I have Floyd on one of my fantasy rosters and struggle each week in deciding to start him or not. This week he faces Kansas City in a big divisional match-up. If Rivers and his wide outs produce (which has been an issue lately), Rivers will likely spread the ball around. Last outing vs. Kansas City, Floyd scored a measely 2.30 fantasy points. Look for Floyd to grab 3 passes for 40-50 yards this week without a score.
WR Andrew Hawkins, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Hawkins has not scored a touchdown in four weeks. His performance has basically decreased progressively since Week 3. His best performances this season were in Weeks 1-3 where he had multiple targets and receptions and his only two touchdowns of the season. This week Dalton and his receivers face a Denver defense that can limit opponent's passing schemes. The Denver corners are able to keep close coverage and Dalton's receivers are going to have to work hard to find open space. Hawkins' performance latey has not shown that he can be a viable fantasy option. If you are looking to Hawkins as a bye week fill in (considering New England, New York, St. Louis and San Francisco have byes), he might not be your best option. I think he will see his targets, but only catch 3 passes for minimal yardage, 25-30 yards without finding the end zone.
