Week 14: Super Sleepers
WR Damian Williams, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
If you're looking for a good flex start who could post numbers good enough to be a starting fantasy receiver then look no further than Damian Williams. If I asked you to name the Titan who leads the team in touchdowns, leads the teams in average yards per reception and is second in targets, you'd probably say Nate Washington. While Washington would be a good answer, it would also be incorrect. The answer I'm looking for is Damian Williams. Through 12 games Williams has 5 touchdowns, as does Washington (4 receiving, 1 rushing) and Chris Johnson has just 4. The only question mark with Williams will be how many yards he has when the game ends. We could see 107 yards like he had against Carolina 4 weeks ago or we could get 16 yards like he had against Atlanta 3 weeks ago. With the Titans playing New Orleans and their 30th ranked pass defense, I'm leaning toward the 100 yard game, but I'm not convinced he'll hit that mark. I do like what Williams has done since becoming a starter just a few weeks back and I like the match-up against the Saints.
TE Tony Scheffler, ---
FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE
Scheffler is by far my longshot play of the week. With Brandon Pettigrew ahead of Scheffler on the depth chart, Tony's opportunities have been few and far between. However, when Tony gets the ball he has made it count. Scheffler has 5 touchdowns this season, putting him second on the team in touchdowns to Johnson's 12. In the end Tony may have just 30-50 yards with 3 receptions, but one of those will be for a touchdown. This week Detroit faces a Vikings defense which has allowed a league high 24 passing touchdowns. While not a great play because of his standing on the depth chart, Scheffler is a nice deep league option for owners looking for a flyer.
