Croyle to start for Chiefs following bye week

Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle (shoulder) acknowledged on Monday that he will return to the starting role against the Titans when the Chiefs come off their Week 6 bye.

Croyle has been out with a separated shoulder, with Tyler Thigpen and Damon filling in, though not lighting it up. The Chiefs' offense failed to score against the Panthers, but do not consider the second-year Croyle the cure. Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzalez owners will need to hold their nose for the near future, starting with a match-up against a stellar Titans defense.
