Bills lock up Evans with four-year contract
Take Lee Evans off your potential free agent list. The Bills signed the fifth-year receiver to a four-year, $37.25 million contract, including over $18 million in guaranteed money. Evans, who is now signed through 2012, is off to an unusually strong start with a 23.7 yards per catch average on 14 receptions. He and quarterback Trent Edwards look to have a solid connection that should improve as the second-year quarterback, along with rookie receiver James Hardy, continues to progress.
