Raiders WR Jacoby Ford back to practice Wednesday
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford
said earlier this week that he's been planning a week-four return to Sunday action for a while now. With one practice day in the books, that still appears to be the case. Ford practiced Wednesday, his first participation since he injured his right hamstring in week one against the Broncos. Barring any setbacks -- which are certainly possible with hamstring injuries -- Ford is expected to play and probably start this week against the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Analysis:
I don't think there's much doubt that Ford is one of the Raiders' two best WRs when healthy. We'll have to wait for official word, but I expect him to start alongside Denarius Moore
, although the Raiders keep giving Darrius Heyward-Bey
chances to prove himself; all he's proven is that's he's nothing more than an NFL reserve.
The Patriots have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, and I think the Raiders will be eager to pit Ford's speed against that defense. He's a decent WR3 in 12-team leagues this week. Just hope he doesn't re-aggravate his hamstring.
