Jets WR Santonio Holmes uncertain to play Sunday
I don't think many people raised their eyebrows when they heard about the Jets holding wide receiver Santonio Holmes
out of full practice earlier this week with knee and quad injuries. The popular assumption was that the team was giving him a rest. But there now appears to be a real concern that Holmes may not play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is listed as questionable on the Jets' injury report, and head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that there are other players also listed as questionable that he thinks have a better chance to play than Holmes. Holmes was limited again in practice today.
Fantasy Analysis:
If you own Holmes, you certainly hope he can play and take advantage of a great matchup against the Jags. I think he will be out there. He won't be 100 percent, but he'll get through it, and you should start him if you need him. If Holmes is somehow declared inactive, Plaxico Burress
, Dustin Keller
and Derrick Mason
would all stand to see more targets.
