Chiefs QB Matt Cassel says he'll play; no comment from HC Todd Haley

It was reported Sunday night that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel has a cracked rib, putting his status for week one in doubt. But he was a full participant at Monday's practice and said he's "ready to roll" for Sunday's game versus the Buffalo Bills. However, it's not his decision to make. That belongs to head coach Todd Haley, and he's not saying much about Cassel this early in game week.

"I won't talk about any of those things," Haley told The Kansas City Star. "I'm assuming. [Cassel] was out there at practice. He was moving around. I thought he did a good job."
Cassel suffered the injury after getting sacked during Thursday's preseason finale. Cassel and the team initially said he got the wind knocked out of him.

Fantasy Analysis:

Haley may be playing this one close to the vest, but if a player can fully practice on the Monday before a Sunday game, you can pretty much say he's going to play, barring a setback. Cassel's presence is good for the likes of Dwayne Bowe @DwayneBowe82 and Steve Breaston @SBreaston15, because no one wants to see Tyler Palko out there. Well, execpt for the Bills and their fans.
Cassel is a mediocre QB2.
