The Browns took a chance on the veteran Lewis and he showed he had more than enough gas left in the tank with a Pro Bowl caliber season. Though the Browns' passing game has made the bulk of the headlines this season, it will be Lewis who the Browns rely on if they can back into the playoffs. With scant backup options, signing Lewis to a long-term deal makes sense for the resurgent Browns.
