Update on Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin coming Tuesday; brother says 'he's fine'
For five months or so, we've all been kept in the dark as to exactly what has kept Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin
out of action for so long. But the truth is ready to come out.
We just have to wait one more day.
Maclin's older brother, Andre, told Sporting News on Monday that the illness Jeremy has been dealing with will definitely be clarified Tuesday.
"When I say definitely, we definitely will have some news tomorrow," Andre Maclin said. ... "They kind of have us on a gag order until tomorrow. ... But he's fine, he's fine. That much I can say."
Andre also said he's confident that Jeremy will play for the Eagles this season.
Fantasy Analysis:
This has been a mysterious story for months, as many have spent time trying to figure out who knows what, who doesn't know anything and who's withholding the truth.
Maybe we'll also get a clue as to what kind of football shape Maclin is in, although I figure he'll have to spend a lot of time regaining his strength and condiitioning his body for the season. For that reason, he carries some obvious risk. Maclin is still a fairly solid WR2.
