Bengals' Chad Ochocinco to miss week 17

Chad Ochocinco will spend his final game of the year -- and perhaps as a Bengal -- as a spectator. He told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Thursday that his injured ankle will keep him out of Sunday's game at the Ravens; he won't even make the trip to Baltimore. He missed last week's game versus San Diego because of the ankle, which Ochocinco knows will require offseason surgery. He said that surgery will be performed after he returns from an overseas trip. Jerome Simpson @rome081 started in Ochocinco's spot last week and had a great game against the Chargers. He caught six passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Ochocinco said his replacement has all the tools to keep producing big numbers. "He's really good," he said of Simpson. "He can jump out of the gym. Great hands, speed. The whole nine yards."

Fantasy Analysis:

Simpson and Andre Caldwell @caldwell87 are a couple of guys to look at if your team needs some replacements of its own in week 17. The Ravens' pass defense isn't all that stout and their solid run-stoppers will force Carson Palmer and Co. to go to the air often. Both of these backup WRs obviously aren't reliable, but I could see some teams out there using Simpson as a WR3, and I wouldn't be totally against it. I would prefer him over Caldwell.
