Bengals' Chad Ochocinco questionable to play Sunday
We've certainly seen the last of Terrell Owens this season. Could the same be true for Chad Ochocinco? That's a definite maybe. He said earlier this week that his left ankle will require offseason surgery to remove bone spurs, but also said he will play through the pain. He then spent the rest of the week squabbling with head coach Marvin Lewis. While Ochocinco admitted that he'll be limited against the San Diego Chargers, Lewis said Friday that Ochocinco is "iffy" to play in the game. Ochocinco hasn't scored in his past three games and has 173 yards during that span.
Fantasy Analysis:
When the news came out that Owens would be put on IR, people bumped up Ocho's stock thinking that he would become a target monster. But Chad even doubted that he'll be in on more than half of the Bengals' snaps this week. Not that the matchup wasn't tough enough -- San Diego ranks second against the pass -- but Ochocinco certainly deserves a seat on your fantasy bench. This may very well be the end of his time in Cincy. Andre Caldwell
got six targets last week with Owens out of the game. He caught four passes for 89 yards and will get the start Sunday. Since he's relatively healthy and you would expect the Bengals to be mostly trailing, he's worth a shot if you need a deep sleeper.
