Jaguars' Sims-Walker doubtful
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker
has been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after missing practice all week due to an ankle injury. The team announced this news via their official Twitter account. Sims-Walker injured his ankle last week in the team's amazing late win against the Houston Texans, 31-24. Sims-Walker has 32 catches for 418 yards and four touchdowns this season. If he cannot play, receivers Tiquan Underwood, John Matthews and Karim Osgood would receiver more playing time opposite starting wideout Mike Thomas.
Fantasy Analysis:
Underwood, Matthews and Osgood probably aren't good bets for fantasy lineups this week but this should be a decent boost in targets for Thomas and tight end Marcedes Lewis. The Jaguars might also prefer to run the ball a little bit more with Maurice Jones-Drew. Jacksonville has won their last two games and three of their last five. It's been an up and down year but they're still in the thick of the AFC South division race. Sims-Walker has been a bit of a disappointment this season after some expected him to make the leap into the top 20 of fantasy receivers. He had a pretty good 2009 season where he put up 63 receptions for 869 yards and seven touchdowns. It seems unlikely he'll be able to approach those numbers, especially after this injury but Thomas has been a run recently so it's possible he is the guy to keep an eye on in the seasons to come.
