Colts' Joseph Addai has nerve damage in left shoulder
It was a grim Wednesday for the future of the the Indianapolis Colts offense. First came the news that tight end Dallas Clark may be out for the rest of the season. And it looks like running back Joseph Addai will join him on the sidelines for at least a few games. Addai told The Indianapolis Star that the left shoulder he injured during Sunday's night's win over the Redskins doesn't have any fractures or tissue tears. But he said there is a nerve problem in the shoulder and it may not regain full strength for "four or five weeks." "It's just dead and needs to wake up," Addai said. NFL.com's Jason La Canfora wrote on his Twitter account Wednesday that Addai will go for a second opinion on the shoulder during the Colts' bye this week and it could keep him out of action for "several weeks."
Fantasy Analysis:
Donald Brown
's hamstring injury should be fully healed in time for Indy's next game, Oct. 31 versus Houston. Brown and Mike Hart
will handle the majority of the team's carries without Addai. The Star article expressed some optimism, stating that Addai couldn't even raise his left arm after Sunday's game. But he was able to move it up to about shoulder level today, giving fuel to the thought that improvement is being made. At least fantasy owners don't have to worry about this situation for one week.
